Laser Tattoo Removal
Our Laser Tattoo Removal service uses advanced laser technology to target unwanted tattoo pigment and support its gradual clearance from the skin.
Whether you are looking to completely remove a tattoo, significantly fade it, or lighten an existing tattoo in preparation for a cover-up, treatment is individually planned around your tattoo, skin type and desired outcome.
Treatment Prices
Small Tattoo — £40 per session
Medium Tattoo — £70 per session
Large Tattoo — £100 per session
Treatment suitability and pricing will be confirmed following assessment.
Results vary between individuals and complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
Laser energy is delivered directly into the tattoo pigment within the skin.
Different tattoo pigments absorb specific wavelengths of laser energy. This causes the targeted pigment particles to break down into smaller fragments, which can then be gradually processed and cleared by the body’s natural mechanisms.
Because tattoo ink sits within the deeper layers of the skin, removal is a gradual process and usually requires a course of treatments rather than a single session.
What Can Affect Tattoo Removal?
Every tattoo is different, and the number of treatments required can vary considerably.
Factors that can influence treatment include:
- Tattoo size
- Ink colour
- Density and depth of pigment
- Professional or amateur tattooing
- Age of the tattoo
- Location on the body
- Previous tattoo removal treatment
- Individual skin characteristics
- How your tattoo responds between sessions
Black and darker pigments may respond differently from coloured inks, and some colours can require different laser wavelengths or may be more resistant to treatment.
During your consultation, we will assess your tattoo and discuss realistic expectations before treatment begins.
Complete Removal or Tattoo Fading
Laser tattoo removal does not always need to mean complete removal.
Treatment can also be used to significantly lighten an existing tattoo before a cover-up, helping your tattoo artist create more options when designing over the original pigment.
Your treatment plan will therefore depend on whether your goal is:
- Maximum possible tattoo removal
- Significant fading
- Preparing the area for a cover-up
- Targeting a particular section of a tattoo
Consultation & Patch Testing
Before beginning treatment, we will assess your skin and tattoo, review your medical history and discuss the expected treatment process.
Patch testing may be required before full treatment, particularly when treating certain pigments or skin types.
What to Expect After Treatment
Immediately following laser treatment, the area may appear:
- Red
- Swollen
- Sensitive
- Raised
- Temporarily lighter or frosted in appearance
Blistering or crusting can sometimes occur as part of the normal healing response.
You will receive clear aftercare instructions following your treatment. It is important to avoid picking or scratching the area and to protect healing skin appropriately.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Tattoo removal normally requires multiple sessions spaced apart to allow the skin to heal and the body time to process fragmented pigment.
There is no fixed number of treatments that can guarantee complete removal.
Your response will be reviewed throughout your treatment course and your plan adjusted where appropriate.
